As 2018 draws to a close the president thanked KASK members for their continued support during a fun year on and off the water. The committee is working hard on ways to increase our membership.
Paul Caffyn anticipates retirement from the KSAK magazine in May 2019 and we are looking for a new editor. BizX Success Partners are revitalising the KASK digital strategy for better user experience.

October 2018 Presidents report

Congratulations to Lance Smith who was a guest at the Tsunami Rangers Retreat in California. The NZ Safer Boating Forum in Wellington, Paul Caffyn presented on paddlecraft fatalities. Their summer campaign kicks off until March 2019. The KASK magazine, a ‘bloody good read’, is looking for a new editor.

August 2018 Presidents report

KASK committee changes. Rob Brown is standing down and Ruth Henderson takes up the gauntlet. A special general meeting to be held in July because of minor changes to the constitution. Safer boating campaign planning for 2018/2019 was discussed.

Congratulations to Scott on such an epic achievement in being the first person to kayak across the Tasman solo. The Paddling Film Festival – world tour 2018 is coming to NZ and will be shown in the main centres. Kayak Fest 2020 planning is well underway for Urupukapuka Island
