Presidents Report – Shaun Maclaren
Hi everyone,
I really enjoy paddling in the winter, as I generally find that conditions are more settled and even though I dislike the cold, there is something special about the the crisp calmness of an early morning paddle.

Scott Donaldson – Paddling the Tasman

Congratulations to Scott on such an epic achievement in being the first person to kayak across the Tasman solo. An astounding achievement and inspiration to us all – thank you Scott.

Membership Renewal

As Paul mentioned in his editorial, publication costs have gradually risen over recent years and until now membership fees have covered costs, but with postage increasing as of 1 July, the committee have been forced to review membership fees and have decided to increase a single KASK membership and that of overseas membership to $40, an increase of $5, but to hold the family membership at $40.
